Description: Archery began in 1951 in the Physical Education Department. In 1954 it became a varsity sport and was mixed competition (men and women) at the regional and national levels. Because of a lack of available competition, the program was disbanded after the 1983 season. This photo is of the 1955 archery team with Genevieve Zimbar as their coach (far left). The building Zimbar-Liljenstein Hall, the current home of the Student Enrollment Center, is named after her.
