Description: Prior to 1930, the Principal of the school (now called President) was responsible for their own housing. In 1920, when the Normal School was purchased by the state, it was intended to make a Principal’s house part of campus development. However, it would not be until 1931 that the colonial brick home would be completed. Located at One College Circle, the cost for the design and construction of the house was $35,000 and modeled after the President’s house at Kutztown University. Dr. Tracy T. Allen was the first President to reside in the home.
