Abstract	Veterans' treatment courts are the most recent problem-solving court innovation. Following the successful drug and mental court models, veterans' treatment courts institute therapeutic jurisprudence and effective intervention to provide participants the opportunity to become productive members of society through community treatment administered in conjunction with judicial oversight. Unfortunately, very little is known about these courts and the participants within them. This study unravels the complexities of veterans' treatment courts by interviewing court mentors within three courts located in Pennsylvania. The use of court mentors is specific to veterans' treatment courts and, as such, the mentor's role, experiences, expectations, and perceived effectiveness are imperative to understand. Additionally, veterans' treatment court administrators within the state of Pennsylvania are surveyed in order to better understand court operating procedures throughout the state alongside their comparative views pertaining to their specific use of court mentors. The findings regarding the role and utility of veterans' treatment court mentors, in conjunction with information regarding statewide veterans' treatment court operations, are essential in beginning to fill the gap that currently exists within the veterans' treatment court literature.
