"Anathem" is an unfinished fictional work centered on Adeline, who can see demons. A demon-hunting organization called the Hunters sends Adeline and her partner, Aaron, to Las Vegas. They discover that the demons' plot to become better and smarter is to establish a college. While the discovery doesn't exactly give them a next step, it's the best information they've discovered for a long time.
